Candidness and Halsey are no strangers. She often has a now-or-never mentality when deciding to speak out about something or not, and this was no exception.

The singer took to Instagram early on Wednesday to celebrate being on the cover of two magazines - Playboy and Flaunt – with a photo of both covers. While many fans posted their love of the covers and their excitement for her, one decided to go the complete opposite direction and come for Halsey and her character.

Rightfully so, she was not having it.

With so many comments and replies on this photo, Halsey wanted to make sure everyone saw just what this Instagram troll wrote to her and how perfectly she handled it, so she took a screenshot of the exchange and uploaded it as a photo to her Instagram feed.

“You are a feminist but you flash your boobs in Playboy magazine,” the male commenter wrote, along with a “thinking face” emoji.

The 22-year-old wasn’t about to let him, or anyone, not only talk to her like that, but also downplay women in general and what they can and cannot do and be in society.

“Yeah it’s crazy,” Halsey started her top-notch response. “I can show my tits in Playboy, perform at the Nobel Peace, speak at the Planned Parenthood Gala with Hilary Clinton, shake my [expletive] on 300 stages, give a speech at the United Nations, do 150 tequila shots, get a #1 album, and march in the streets of DC all in just ONE year!”

This accomplished woman ended her reply with a simple, but extremely important, newsflash for the troll, and any other haters reading.

“Newsflash. A woman can be multi dimensional. #WeAreNotJustOneThing.”

As Wednesday just-so-happens to mark the 10th anniversary of the hashtag, take an extra good look at the one Halsey decided to use. This multi-dimensional woman, as all are, took time out from celebrating her magazine covers and from thinking about her current tour to stand up for herself and all women. Because she’s not just one thing and can do more than just one thing.

When she’s not clapping back at haters, Halsey is currently on tour to promote her new album, “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom,” which was released on June 2. She’s in Russia now for concerts before moving on to perform in the United Kingdom on Aug. 25 and Aug. 27.

After which, she’ll make her way to the United States to start her tour there in late September. The kick-off to the North American tour will be her Sept. 23 performance at the iHeartRadio Daytime Village event in Las Vegas.

In between the tour dates, hopefully Halsey continues to take to social media to express her thoughts and share photos without many trolls coming after her about anything else. But, she can handle it if they do.

One social post that wouldn’t be surprising is if she tweeted or posted about Fifth Harmony’s new album coming out on Aug. 26, as she is good friends with member Lauren Jauregui. The two even collaborated on the track “Strangers,” off Halsey’s latest album.

When and what she posts remains to be completely up to Halsey and the social media world is better for it. Because newsflash: Halsey is a multi-dimensional, talented, strong, outspoken woman who continues to stand up for her beliefs.
