Halt And Catch Fire
Joe (Lee Pace) will have a new job in episode 2 of "Halt and Catch Fire" Season 2. AMC

“Halt and Catch Fire” returned Sunday with the Season 2 premiere in a very different place than it left off in the Season 1 finale. Gordon (Scoot McNairy) is now a near-millionaire after the sale of Cardiff, Donna (Kerry Bishé) and Cameron (Mackenzie Davis) are now partners in crime (literally), Bosworth (Toby Huss) is back, and Joe (Lee Pace) is getting married! Where will the AMC series head in episode 2, “New Coke?”

According to the synopsis for episode 2, Gordon is struggling with his newfound time and freedom after cashing in his shares of Cardiff in the company’s sale. Unfortunately, if the episode title is any indication, his newly introduced cocaine use might rear its head in the place of work. In the premiere, Gordon’s nose started bleeding at the dinner table with his kids. Plus, a bar conversation revealed that he is missing some memories from some deadline-inspired coke binges at Cardiff. What problems lie ahead for the troubled engineer in episode 2?

Meanwhile, Donna will be uneasy after finding out about a surprising new hire at Mutiny. From the premiere’s cliffhanger, it would be safe for viewers to assume that Bosworth, straight out of prison, will be the new addition to the team. Does he have a place at the fledgling startup?

Finally, the synopsis reveals that Joe will be starting a new job himself, fresh off of his surprising proposal to Sara (Aleksa Palladino). A sneak peek video from the episode teases the identity of his new employer – his fiancé’s father (James Cromwell).

Will Joe go to work for Sara’s father? Will Bosworth join the team at Mutiny? Fans will have to wait to find out. “Halt and Catch Fire” airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EDT on AMC.
