Canada based Hana Mining has announced the new high grade Copper-Silver mineralization drilling results in its copper project in northwestern Botswana.
Hana Mining on Tuesday continued it positive discoveries spree at Zone 5, after results from mineralization intersected 55 meters below current pit limits supports ongoing investigations indicated potential for underground mining.
Zone 5 is located in the center of the Kalahari Copper Belt in northwestern Botswana.
"The drill success continues to support confidence in the continuity and mineability of high grade Copper mineralization at Zone 5.
As well, we are pleased that the exploration drilling below the current modeled view of the deposit has intercepted what could be a continuation of this same strong mineralization," said Hana Mining's chief executive officer and chairman, Marek Kreczmer in a statement.
"The results support our view that the deposit could be suitable for underground mining. With further successful results like these, the overall resource size and head grade could increase, which would improve the economics of the PEA Study," he added.
The company recently completed an eight infill diamond drill holes indicating high-grade copper silver mineralization in the Banana Zone at the south limb of Ghanzi sediment following a six infill diamond holes at Zone 5.
According to the company drilling has now reached mineralization at a maximum vertical depth of 305 meters from surface and shows a continuous, high-grade true thickness averaging 10 meters at Zone 5.
Hana Mining are developers of the second online copper-silver mine in Botswana's Kalahari Copperbelt remains upbeat on the rate the project is stemming ahead.
