Hannibal
Will (Hugh Dancy, pictured) searches for Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen, not pictured) in Lithuania in episode 3 of "Hannibal" Season 3. NBC

The beginning of Season 3 of "Hannibal" kicked off with a premiere that focused solely on Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) and his new life in Italy with Bedelia (Gillian Anderson), while episode 2 centered on Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and his recovery from the carnage of the Season 2 finale. Episode 3, “Secondo,” will begin to tie the show’s storylines together again, as the search for Hannibal continues.

According to the episode synopsis, Will -- who nearly caught up to Hannibal in Palermo in episode 2 -- will still be hunting for the serial killer. His search will bring him to Lithuania, Hannibal’s childhood home. The promo for the episode shows him visiting the grave of Mischa Lecter, Hannibal’s younger sister, whose premature death inspired his sociopathic behavior.

The promo confirms that Hannibal is still in Italy and worried about what to do when Will finally tracks him down. Bedelia seems to think Hannibal is responsible – “You’re drawing them to you. Aren’t you?”

Will will also find someone among the living in Lithuania: Chiyo (Tao Okamoto). The new character will become Will's ally in his quest to find Hannibal. Chiyo is an original character – never appearing in Thomas Harris’ novels – and is the attendant of Lady Murasaki, Hannibal’s aunt in the “Hannibal Rising” novel.

The synopsis also reveals that Jack (Laurence Fishburne), alive and well after Hannibal’s Season 2 dinner party, will also end up in Italy, as he tries to stop Will from seeking out Hannibal.

What will Will find in Lithuania? Will Jack find Hannibal in Italy? Fans will have to watch to find out. “Hannibal” airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
