Harmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd. representative Marian van der Walt confirmed operations have resumed at the company's Evander mine in Mpumalanga, South Africa, except for the area where an accident Monday resulted in three fatalities, according to Creamer Media's Mining Weekly.

Harmony Gold has yet to receive the outcome of investigations into the ore pass accident.

Shares of Harmony Gold trading on the New York Stock Exchange were off slightly at $11.84 in midday trading.
