“Harry Potter” fans, if you were expecting a “Cursed Child” movie author J.K. Rowling has some bad news for you.

After rumors began to spread that plans for a trilogy based on the two-part play existed, Rowling took to Twitter to quickly shut down the claims. “I know a lot of people are looking for reasons to be cheerful today, but there is NO TRUTH to the rumor about a #CursedChild movie trilogy!” she wrote Friday.

It appears the rumor began when journalist Jim Hill said on the Unofficial Universal Orlando Podcast that he had heard “Warner Bros. has actually had conversations with [Emma Watson], with Rupert and of course, Daniel [Radcliffe] about ‘Cursed Child,’ because they want this to be, for lack of a better term, ‘Harry Potter: The Force Awakens.’”

Written by Jack Thorne, John Tiffany and Rowling, the two-part play premiered on July 30, 2016 in London’s West End. The story is set 19 years after the events of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” and follows an adult Potter who is a Ministry of Magic employee and has a younger son.

It’s not the first time Rowling had to shut down the idea for a “Cursed Child” film. In 2016, after a fan tweeted her about “Cursed Child” being turned into a movie, Rowling said, “You heard wrong, I’m afraid. #CursedChild is a play. #FantasticBeasts will be 3 movies, though!”

While there is no “Cursed Child” movie, Potter fans can still look forward to the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts” sequels. Originally announced as a trilogy, the series will actually feature five films. According to Rowling, calling the series a trilogy was a “placeholder” and while drafting the story, she came up with more ideas.

“And then there came a point in the drafting of the story where I said to [director] David [Yates], ‘You know David, this feels like five movies and I think I’m pretty certain about that.’ It’s ambitious to tell it in five, to be honest, because we’re spanning 19 years but I can see an arc to five so that’s how it happened,” she told Variety.
