Has Beyoncé given birth to a daughter? And is the baby girl's name Tiana May Carter? Those are the questions on the mind of her fans, but the Love on Top singer and her husband, Jay-Z, are yet to confirm the news.

The appearance of Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, 57, sister Solange, 25, in New York last week did little squelch the rumors that the star has had her first child. Instead, it has added more weight to the claims that the star has already given birth to a baby girl at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital.

Urban gossip site MediaTakeOut.com reported last week that it had received word that nurses and security at the hospital were placed on alert because a high-profile client was going to check in. The Web site's report also noted that two nurses at the hospital said that the celebrity VIP has booked half the floor of the luxury labor and delivery suite.

The reports of Beyonce possibly having her baby at St. Luke's haven't been confirmed, but MediaTakeOut claims that the word buzzing around the hospital was that she was the unnamed VIP patient. The Web site claims that Beyonce was referred to the hospital by her good friend Alicia Keys, who had her son there last year.

Family spotted leaving New York store

According to the Daily Mail, Tina and Solange Knowles were seen leaving vintage store Stella Dallas in New York City on Dec. 29. It is unclear what they purchased, but after rumors surfaced last week that Beyonce was preparing to go to the hospital to deliver her baby, that the two were seen in the area could be an indication that a new addition to the family is either already on hand or soon will be.

Of course, their presence could also mean that they are just visiting the mom-to-be, who is said to live in a multi-million dollar penthouse apartment in the city with her husband.

Beyonce announced in August at the MTV Video Music Awards that she was pregnant. Since then reports were that she was due to have the couple's first child in February. However, in a clip from her Live at Roseland DVD, Beyonce revealed to fans that she was in fact, six months pregnant.

In the clip, Beyonce is seen on the set of her music video for Countdown holding an issue of the New York Daily News with her picture on the cover with the caption Oh Baby?!

Hello! its September 23rd. Oh baby! Oh baby! Oh baby! Oh baby! ... This was on the cover of The Daily News, Beyonce said in the clip. Right now I'm actually shooting the video for 'Countdown' and I'm six months pregnant, pretending that my stomach is flat in body suits. But thank God that you can't really tell from the front. But when I turn to the side ... Oh baby! Oh baby!

The star concealed her pregnancy for months before she made the big revelation in August.

That means Beyonce's due date would have been in December.

Is the pregnancy real?

Months after announcing that she was pregnant, Beyonce had to face rumors that her pregnancy was a fake.

Speculations surfaced in October that the singer was wearing a prosthetic belly after her stomach looked as if it had collapsed as she sat down for an Austrailian TV appearance.

Beyonce tackled those rumors head-on in an interview with Katie Couric.

You know, there are certain things that are so far, it doesn't even upset you, she told Couric. My mother, she is like 'Nobody's talking about my grandbaby. My grandbaby is not even here yet. I don't like it!' I'm like calm down, Mom. It's OK. It's really silly. My mom is really protective and so is my sister. But I'm cool. It's so ridiculous and over the top.

As for wether Tiana May Carter is already here, we may just have to wait until Beyonce is ready to reveal that as well.
