Heidi Klum and Seal to Divorce, TMZ

Heidi Klum is set to file for divorce from her husband, Seal, according to TMZ.

TMZ learned from sources with direct knowledge that the supermodel will file divorce papers in L.A. County Superior Court as early as next week. She will reportedly cite irreconcilable differences as the cause.

The divorce may come as a surprise to many since the German beauty and her singer husband have regularly voiced their love and adoration for each other. The couple even renews their vows each year on their anniversary with lavish ceremonies.

The 38-year-old supermodel and the Kiss From a Rose singer, 48, just renewed their vows again in May during an intimate ceremony in Palm Beach, Fla., reports Us Weekly.

Each year, Heidi and I get remarried, he has said. It's a great party, but for about an hour, we go off on our own down to a private beach. We sit there with the kids and read vows to each other as the sun sets. It's a very special moment to us.

In the past, the couple has been known to publicly declare their love. In a 2010 interview with Cosmo, Klum even dished a little on their alone time. But for now, we're nice and spicy in that department, she said.

Those who knew them, or even just saw them together, thought that Heidi Klum and Seal represented the epitome of romance in Hollywood. Heidi Klum is absolutely beautiful. You can tell that she and her husband are truly in love, a commentator said to the Examiner in 2010.

Klum and Seal married on May 10, 2005, in Mexico, near Seal's home on Mexico's Costa Careyes. The couple met the previous year and Seal proposed on Dec. 23, 2004, in an igloo he had built on a glacier in Whistler, British Columbia.

The supermodel and host of Project Runway discussed their first encounter in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2007. I met him in a hotel lobby in New York City and he came in just from the gym and I was sitting there and I was, like, wow, Klum said.

From that moment on, the couple never let the passion die. They claimed to maintain those first butterflies.

The most common hiccup, said Seal, :is when the first child comes along. And it turns into all about the kids, which is understandable because they're miraculous. But then you've got to put each other first. You know, she will always be number one for me.

Is it true? asked Winfrey.

I have the most romantic husband, said Klum. I do.

They have three biological children together -- Henry Günther, 6; Johan Riley, 5; and Lou, 2 -- and Seal adopted Klum's eldest daughter from a previous relationship -- Leni, 7. In 2009, Klum offcially took on Seal's surname, Samuel, and is legally known as Heidi Samuel.

Now, with a divorce supposedly looming, many wonder how the assets will be split. Heidi Klum raked in $20 million last year alone, according to Forbes. It is unclear how much Seal is worth or if there is a prenuptial agreement.

The stunning beauty attended the Golden Globe Awards last Sunday without her husband. The last photo taken of the two together was on Dec. 26, during their holiday sky vacation in Aspen, Colo.

Klum was previously married to stylist Ric Pipino. They married in 1997 and divorced in 2002. Afterward, Klum dated Flavio Briatore, managing director of the Formula One team, and had a daughter, Leni, in 2004. She was three weeks pregnant with Leni when she met Seal.
