Heidi Strobel, the pregnant wife of Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels, went into labor today forcing the player to leave in the midst of a National League Division Series game Thursday.

Hamels abandoned Game 2 against the Rockies on the seventh inning.

This would be the first child of the couple. Strobel was a former contestant on the sixth season of reality show Survivor and had also posed for Playboy Magazine.
