The “Heroes of the Storm” Road to BlizzCon is one step closer to the world championships on November 6-7, with Blizzard Entertainment announcing the Americas Championship date and venue on Tuesday.

From September 19-20 the eight best teams from North America, Latin America, Australia/New Zealand and Southeast Asia will converge at the Las Vegas Convention Center to battle it out for two spots at BlizzCon and their share of $100,000.

Three teams have already qualified from North America – Tempo Storm, Cloud9 Maelstrom and COGnitive Gaming. The team representing Australia/New Zealand will be Team Immunity.

The total “Heroes of the Storm” Road to BlizzCon prize pool is $1.2 million, with $500,000 up for grabs at the world championships alone.

Tickets to watch the teams battle it out in Las Vegas are free, but on a first come first served basis. If you can't make it out to Las Vegas Blizzard Entertainment will be streaming through their Twitch channel.

On Monday the new monk hero, Kharazim, and the map Infernal Shrines, was made available in the public test realm (PTR) and will go live in the next patch.
