Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services, a division of Hewlett-Packard Co, said it has licensed Pegasus Solutions RezView NG distribution platform to provide advanced consumer travel solutions as part of its expansion plans for its consumer travel enterprise platform.

RezView NG will enable faster deployment of the consumer travel solutions across multiple segments, including airline and hospitality, the company said in a statement.

The travel solution is designed to help Hewlett-Packard's clients improve their customer experience in airline, hospitality, rail, cruise and car rental services, it said.

The licensing will improve airline reservation system with fully automated process of ticket refunds. The new solution will be easier to use and less expensive to operate and maintain than the existing solution, enabling clients to be more efficient and productive in their services, said Mike Kistner, chief executive officer of Pegasus Solutions in a statement.

The world's largest technology company said it plans to use Pegasus' RezView NG platform for the hospitality industry next. Hewlett-Packard will incorporate the new platform in central reservation and property management solutions, Kistner said.,

Travel technology applications are expected to help travelers plan their trips at their convenience.
