Hilarie Burton has broken her silence about Mark Schwahn's sexual assault scandal.

According to the "One Tree Hill" alum, she is among the victims of the series creator. Schwahn also tried to sexually harass her twice. The actress told Variety that for two seasons, Schwahn tried to sexualize her character and that has resulted in several fights that earned her the reputation of being "difficult" to work with.

"Things took a turn in season three," Burton told the publication. "That's when Mark decided that I was his muse."

In addition, Schwahn allegedly tried to force himself on Burton twice. He kissed her on the mouth without warning and touched her inappropriately.

"I'm at the bar waiting to get drinks for the hairdresser and me, and he leans over and he kisses me in front of everybody," Burton recalled. "Right on the mouth. It was something I had to get out of. It wasn't a peck. It wasn't 'Hey, sis, how's your day?' It was a boyfriend kiss."

The "White Collar" star added that the show creator pitted woman against each other and verbally abused them. He also spread rumors about his physical relationship with the female cast members.

Burton and her co-stars Sophia Bush, Bethany Joy Lez made a joint letter where they accused Schwahn directly. "Many of us were, to varying degrees, manipulated psychologically and emotionally," the letter read.

"More than one of us is still in treatment for post-traumatic stress. Many of us were put in uncomfortable positions and had to swiftly learn to fight back, sometimes physically, because it was made clear to us that the supervisors in the room were not the protectors they were supposed to be."

In the wake of Harvey Weinstein's sexual harassment scandal, more and more sexual assault stories in Hollywood have come to life. In 2013, Jennifer Garner's estranged husband, Ben Affleck reportedly groped Burton when they appeared on "Total Request Live."

The "Justice League" star did not deny it. Affleck issued an apology to Burton on Twitter. "I acted inappropriately toward Ms. Burton and I sincerely apologize," he wrote.

Amidst all the issues, Burton has a blessing on the way. In September, "Supernatural" star Jeffrey Dean Morgan announced that he and Burton are expecting a baby girl. The couple is already parents to 7-year-old son, Gus.
