After four years with the Miami Heat, LeBron James announced on Friday that he would be returning to Cleveland to play for the Cavaliers, the team that drafted him back in 2003. The news almost broke the Internet, with memes proliferating like wildfire.

The 29-year-old revealed the much-awaited news in an essay written for Sports Illustrated, saying he was simply ready to return to place he considers home. James was raised in Akron, Ohio, and told SI that his “relationship with northeast Ohio is bigger than basketball.”
