Hilary Duff’s plans to divorce Mike Comrie are so yesterday.

Duff, 26, and Comrie, 33, a retired professional hockey player who last played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, are trying to save their three-year marriage and are planning to call off their divorce just three months after announcing their separation, Radar Online reported on Thursday.

"Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie have mutually decided to an amicable separation,” a rep for the couple said in January, adding that they would remain “best friends“ for the sake of their two-year-old son, Luca Cruz.

Why the sudden change of heart?

The couple reportedly reconnected during a Valentine's Day vacation in the Bahamas, where Comrie asked for a second chance. “Once they were together with their son Luca in the Caribbean, it got emotional and real,” an insider said, adding that Comrie “broke down” and reportedly “begged” Duff to work on their relationship.

Duff, famous for her role in the hit 2001-2004 Disney TV series “Lizzie McGuire,” was originally hesitant about rekindling their romance, but eventually gave in to his pleas. “Hilary and Mike hooked up when they were in the Bahamas,” an insider said. “They’ve been meeting for hookups ever since ... The two are moving forward to see if they can work it out.”

So will their relationship make it? Duff has told Comrie he must be more present in taking care of their son in order for their marriage to work. “Hilary’s one stipulation is that Mike step up to full-time parenting duties while she works on her new TV show and her music career,” an insider said.

The couple were spotted on Thursday enjoying a shopping spree at the Chanel Store in Beverly Hills, one of many recent outings. According to E! News, they appeared “very happy” and engaged in “innocent PDA.”

Duff’s love life made headlines in February after several media outlets reported that she was dating her hairstylist and longtime friend, Marcus Francis. The A-lister sparked rumors by publicly walking arm-in-arm with Francis, but a short while later she denied that they were a couple. “’Twas a fan night!! Hey @MarcusRFrancis we are now dating according to the press,” Duff posted Feb. 23 on Twitter.

Francis called the dating rumors “pure comedy,” and tweeted, “Well wouldn’t we be?! You’re hot enough to turn any gay boy straight.”
