Is Hilary Duff pregnant again? Not exactly, but the former child star turned author is already considering having another baby.

The 26-year-old “Lizzie McGuire” star recently dished to People about her plans to expand her family with husband, retired professional ice hockey player Mike Comrie, 33. “If I had another boy, I would be happy,” said Duff, who revealed she is only planning to give her son, 19-month-old Luca Cruz, one sibling. “I would like to try for a girl and I’m not sure that I want to have three kids,” Duff later told the magazine.

So why does she want another bouncing baby boy? The actress said her relationship with her son, whom she welcomed with Comrie in March 2012, is her driving force. “The mom and boy relationship is really, really sweet,” said Duff, adding a sweet comment about her toddler.“I’m so obsessed with him," she said.

The former Disney star, who in recent years has worked as an author penning the best-selling series “Elixir,” said she now spends the majority of her free time cuddling with her son. “The bond has been so incredible! I love play wrestling with him,” said Duff, adding, “I love how sweet and cuddly he gets.”

While previous rumors indicated that Duff and her husband of three years were facing a separation, Duff had nothing but kind words to say about her athlete hubby and his parenting skills. “He’s an amazing father,” she said. “He’s so patient and loving and involved. He’s all the things that I knew that he would be.”

According to a report from Star magazine in September, the married twosome saved their troubled union by attending therapy. “[Hilary] felt like Mike forgot how to treat her special,” said an insider, adding the duo are now “more in love than ever” after receiving counseling.

Duff can be seen next in the independent comedy film “Flock of Dudes” alongside “Pitch Perfect” star Skylar Austin and “How to Make It in America” TV star Bryan Greenberg. The film is currently scheduled for a 2014 release.
