It took her nine months to have baby Luca but it also took actress Hilary Duff nearly the same amount of time to drop the baby weight, having announced she hit her weight loss goal.

Duff, 25, tweeted last Thursday that after grueling hours at the gym and dieting, she has reached her ideal weight again and can git back into a size 26 (U.S. size 2). The former Disney star tweeted the announcement along with a pair of size 26 Rag & Bone jeans on Thursday.

"Yaaaa b--ches! Gabe Johns you're kickin my ass and its paying off! Skinny jeans! lets go!" she wrote.

Duff had been training with Johns, a personal trainer and boxing instructor in Los Angeles, for the past two and a half months, according to Us Weekly.

"Hilary and Gabe have been doing everything from boxing to two-a-day workouts incorporating wind sprints and jump roping in an effort to finally shed the baby weight," Johns' rep told Us Weekly. "Hilary's been steadily dropping pounds each week."

The Daily Mail snapped photos while Duff was shopping in Beverly Hills over the weekend, looking svelte while holding baby Luca.

Back in October, Duff told Parents magazine that she was determined to lose the baby weight but wanted to do it at a steady pace.

"There are some women who look the same right after -- I think they are freaks of nature! I don't know how that happens,” she told Parents. “I'm not one of those people. It takes your body nine months to get there -- really 10 months. So I'm trying to be patient but I'm working hard. And I think now more than ever, I appreciate my body and what it's done for me.”

But for Duff, her baby is priority. Duff and husband Mike Comrie, the NHL player she married back in August 2010, had baby Luca eight months ago.

"Obviously, I'm not where I want to be eventually, but I'm working hard and I'm doing everything I can to lose the weight the right way," she told Us Weekly. "The second I start to get down like 'what happened to my body,' I look at my beautiful baby and I've never been more appreciative for this body that I have."
