Hollywood executives are breathing life into one of the hottest unproduced scripts on the infamous Black List for 2012. “Rodham,” a screenplay based on Hillary Clinton, is reportedly in the beginning stages of development, according to Politico.

Written by up-and-coming screenwriter Young Il Kim, the film takes place in the 1970s and follows a young Clinton in her twenties as she manages the start of her career as well as her love life.

At this point in her life, Clinton was the youngest attorney on the House Judiciary Committee that was responsible for the preparation of President Richard Nixon’s impeachment. Her boyfriend at the time was her future husband, Bill Clinton.

Speaking with Politico, Kim said “there’s this incredible irony that she worked on the impeachment process that was used against her husband. But it's also really a journey of a woman who was torn between her personal desires and her professional ambition – both literally pulled her thousands of miles apart, because Bill did not want to leave Arkansas, and she did not want to leave Washington D.C."

As a young unsatisfied venture capital in the dot-com industry, Kim eventually ditched the suit in 2011 and decided to chase his dream of becoming a screenwriter. He earned his master’s in screenwriting from the University of Southern California in 2004 before moving to New Jersey where he would tutor part-time while writing drafts of screenplays.

In the interview with Politico, he said that he got the idea after he saw a photograph of Hillary Clinton in the Situation Room with President Barack Obama and others watching the raid to kill Osama bin Laden in May 2011.

“That photo … made me remember another photo.” Kim said. “There was this photo of Hillary when she was in her 20s with coke-bottle glasses and long, hippie hair. And it was those two images that really made me realize that this would be a great way into this story just to focus on a moment in her life when she’s in her 20s, and she doesn’t know what she wants to do with her life.”

Kim goes on to describe how the screenplay reveals a more intimate side of Clinton. Scenes involving her and Bill making out in her Dupont Circle apartment and “office flirtation” between her and former Gov. Bill Weld, who worked with her on the impeachment committee are just some of the parts that shed new light on the life on the current Secretary of State.

Clinton is in the headlines after undergoing treatment for a potentially dangerous blood clot in her head. “Her medical team advised her that she is making good progress on all fronts, and they are confident she will make a full recovery,” according to a statement released by Clinton aide Philippe Reines.

While Clinton is reportedly planning to return to work next week, her stint will most likely be a brief one as the White House has already picked Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) to succeed her. She is expected to formally nominate Kerry within days.

Clinton was released from a New York hospital on Wednesday evening, three days after the blood clot was discovered inside her skull. Her doctors predict a full recovery from the clot and an apparently related concussion she suffered in a fall last month.
