Holiday Gift 2011: Samsung Begins Selling 'Series 9 Limited Edition' Luxury Laptops (PHOTOS + VIDEO)

Emboldened by the overwhelming response the high-end Series 9 laptops received earlier this year, Samsung unveiled the Series 9 Limited Edition laptops at IFA in September and is now all set to release them in the market worldwide.

What makes Series 9 Limited Edition so luxurious and exclusive? There are two reasons. Firstly, the South Korean tech giant will be selling only 1,000 units worldwide and each unit will be individually numbered boldly on the bottom. Secondly, the laptop's lid will be embellished with 188 glittering crystals, which will be set in a pattern.

And, hold your breath - this baby is going to be offered in Moonlight Blue and Luxury Rose Gold. When Series 9 was launched in Feb. 2011, they were made available in black and silver, which gave it a masculine look. However, the new colors give the limited edition version a 'feminine' and warm look (is Samsung targeting the female buyers this time?).

The laptop carries a price tag of approx. $2507 (after conversion).

According to Samsung Tomorrow, the company has started selling 300 units (150 units of each color) in its home country and it is also making an irresistible offer to the buyer - a free J.ESTINA necklace. Indeed, this might be the perfect gift from a man to his lover.

The laptop will sell through premium channels and outlets and though the U.S. release date hasn't been confirmed yet, it could be the perfect luxury tech gift for your loved ones.
