The U.S National Association of Home builders released their latest index of housing markets, signaling homebuilder confidence in the markets for newly built, single-family homes rallied to 25 in January, the highest level since June 2007, according to the NAHB/Wells Fargo historical record.

The index gained 4 points to 25, from 21 registered in the year ended December, while markets suggested the index will gain only one point in January.
