The torch relay's first stop on Chinese soil is Hong Kong on May 2, a community torch relay will be held tomorrow (April 18) to test the route.

The government will have a special traffic arrangement to ensure the relay is conducted in a punctual, dignified and orderly manner, Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs Carrie Yau says.

As the relay will pass through busy roads, the Transport Department will adjust and divert public transport services in areas covered by the relay, including service frequency reduction, temporary route truncation, diversion, service suspension or relocation of bus stops.

The relay route has been revised without affecting the coverage of major scenic spots and the traffic to the airport will not be affected.
