Thursday, Hong Kong's Census and Statistics Department is scheduled to release the external trade data for February at 4.30am ET.

The trade balance is expected to log HK$4.5 billion deficit in February, compared with HK$7.2 billion surplus in the previous month.

On an annual basis, exports are forecast to decline 20% in February, after falling 21.8% in January. Imports are expected to drop 21.7%, compared to 27.1% decline seen in the previous month.
