The 2009 Free Night of Theater begins in October. It is the fifth anniversary for the annual Free Night of Theater.

There are more than 75,000 free theater tickets will be given for free in over 120 cities around the US.

The online ticket reservation system begins on October 1st in most participating regions.

In San Francisco, the public ticket giveaways are on Wednesday, September 30 and Wednesday, October 14, both days starting at 6pm only at tixbayarea.com.

Most performances are scheduled to debut on October 15th, but dates and times vary by region.
