We’re just hours away from the Season 2 finale of ABC’s “How to Get Away With Murder.” These 14 episodes provided the answers to a lot of lingering questions from fans regarding Annalise (Viola Davis) and Wes’ (Alfred Enoch) relationship, Frank (Charlie Webber) and Bonnie’s (Liza Wiel) past, and Annalise’s mysterious child. Still, Shonda Rhimes has left a lot of things open-ended.

Early in the crime-drama’s second season, viewers learned what really happened to Rebecca (Kate Finlay), as well as the meaning behind “Eggs 911” — one of the final texts she sent. “HTGAWM” fans were introduced to Levi (Matt Cohen), who revealed to Wes that Eggs is a childhood nickname he and Rebecca made up. “HTGAWM” also introduced Caleb (Kendrick Sampson) and Catherine Hapstall (Amy Okuda). While the pair initially seemed like they’d be just another client of Annalise’s — in one episode, out the next —they have become fixtures on the show, shaking things up and potentially changing the course of the series. Bonnie’s character was also rounded out during the first half of Season 2. “HTGAWM” viewers learned that her hard exterior was a result of her challenging childhood, and viewers were also offered a glimpse into Asher Millstone (Matt McGorry) who, it turns out, is more than just “d----- face.”

Annalise’s shooter was revealed after the midseason break, and, as she recovered, things took a turn for the worse. She was repeatedly plagued by flashbacks — many of which involved Wes and his mother, Rose. The esteemed lawyer avoided Wes as best she could but eventually was coaxed by Laurel (Karla Souza) to face him. She shared documents with him that changed his life and brought the drama level up to 100. While Wes dived deeper for more information on his ties to Annalise, the rest of the Keating Five were simply trying to stay alive and out of trouble, which — if you’ve been watching the show since Season 1 — you know is easier said than done.

While it may seem like a lot was revealed during Season 2, many questions remain. Here are 12 things we’d like to see answered in the finale:

Is Nate (Billy Brown) off the hook for Sam Keating’s (Tom Verica) murder?

During Season 2, episode 2, Annalise took the stand as a witness to her husband’s murder and managed to get the case thrown out. Her little stunt bought Nate more time, but could it really have been that easy for him to shirk all blame in Sam’s murder?

What happened to Levi?

Shortly after his episode 3 introduction, Levi was whisked away by police who found drugs in the trunk of his car. Levi has since fallen by the wayside.

Where is Tiffany Howard?

In episode 7 viewers learned that while Asher comes off as vapid, he actually has a pretty deep — and slightly troubling — backstory. At a young age, he was a witness to the gang rape of a girl named Tiffany Howard. In an effort to have the incident removed from his record, Asher considered turning on the Keating Five but was convinced by Bonnie not to. Asher was apologetic about what happened to the girl, especially after getting the full scoop on Bonnie’s difficult past, but viewers never learned more about Tiffany.

What did Asher’s father do?

While Asher worked with Emily Sinclair (Sarah Burns) to get his own case thrown out, his father also sought out legal forgiveness. That plan went awry when Asher decided not to turn his back on his colleagues. His father killed himself — but why? And was it a suicide or a murder as Asher insinuates several times during the series?

Is Phillip (Jefferson White) a psychotic killer?

The Hapstalls’ cousin was introduced in Season 2, episode 8 when he popped up in Connor (Jack Fallahee) and Oliver’s (Conrad Ricamora) apartment unannounced. It was later revealed that he and Catherine were seemingly in cahoots in the Hapstall murder, though to what degree remains unclear. Did he do it? Did she?

Did Wes intend to kill Annalise when he shot her?

During the now-infamous night at the Hapstall mansion, Wes shot Annalise at her urging. She was then shown gasping for air as he looked on in shock — could it have been an attempt at killing her and freeing himself from the hell that she’s created for him and his classmates? We may never know.

Will Phillip ever get caught?

The Hapstalls’ insane cousin returned in the latter portion of Season 2, and this time, with an agenda. Throughout the final episodes, he sent a series of threatening emails to the Keating Five, demanding money or he’d send incriminating videos to the police. They managed to get off without paying him, but that didn't stop his attempts at retribution. Phillip later surprised Annalise inside Wes’ apartment. She escaped almost unscathed, but shaken. The rest of the Keating Five are currently in hiding while Phillip continues to plot his revenge.

Where Is Caleb?

With Phillip still very much free, Caleb mysteriously went missing. Michaela urged the Keating Five to help her find him, but with so much on their plates, the enthusiasm just wasn't there. As of now Caleb still hasn't been found — where is he? Did Phillip kill him?

Is ADA Denver planning to turn on the Keating Five?

Although he promised Annalise and her team immunity while he helped them keep Phillip at bay, it’s clear that ADA Denver has ulterior motives.

Could Michaela and Asher really be a thing?

While the stress from Phillip’s return mounted, Michaela and Asher decided to relieve some of the stress by hooking up in episode 14. Their scandalous new relationship shocked viewers and, perhaps even more surprisingly, appeared as though it may continue.

Who will die during the finale?

A clip for episode 15 suggests two more bodies will be added to the Keating Five’s list of kills since Season 1, but who could it possibly be? The video also show’s Frank — who viewers will recall was recently dumped by Laurel — being warned by Bonnie not to do anything dumb. Could it be him that carries out the murders? The teaser also shows an extremely bloody scene, presumably from whoever gets axed in the finale.

What is up with Annalise’s strained relationship with her father?

A preview for the finale suggests that during her time at home, Annalise will come face-to-face with her father. While she says very little during the encounter, her and her mother’s reactions to his presence speak volumes. Although it’s clear that there is some lasting tension between them, it remains unclear why. Until now, Annalise has never mentioned him.

The “How To Get Away With Murder” Season 2 finale airs Thursday, March 17, at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
