‘How I Met Your Mother’ Season 9 Spoilers: Episode 22 Promo Video Leaked Online; See How Robin Meets The Mother On Her Wedding Day

Next Monday, March 24, will be the last new “How I Met Your Mother” episode before the series finale. So stock up on tissues now because we heard the final episode of the hit CBS is sure to be a tear-jerker. And according to reports, that won’t be the only episode getting you misty eyed. Episode 22, “The End of the Aisle,” will also have you blubbering like a baby as fans finally get to watch Robin and Barney become husband and wife. Talk about a legendary episode.

But of course, what’s a wedding without some drama? Both the bride and groom will be experiencing some pre-wedding jitters as the two endure some heavy duty panic attacks just an hour before they recite their vows. In the leaked promo for episode 22, we can see Barney hyperventilating into a brown paper bag as he sits upside down on a church couch.

However, it’s Robin who gets the coldest of feet as she nearly knocks her wedding band out of the way to escape. Luckily for Barney’s future wife, the bandmate she ran into just so happened to be the Mother. Yep, Robin meets the Mother during the most crucial moment of her life! Practically plowing Cristin Milioti’s character into the floor, the two dust themselves off and have a heart to heart.

“Sometimes even just three deep breaths can change everything,” we hear the Mother give Robin some last minute advice. Looks like Ted’s future wife played a vital role in Barney and Robin’s relationship. When the Mother first bumped into Barney, she ended up sharing some wisdom with the player regarding love.

“It’s going to be OK. You’re a good guy. You’re going to get through this,” she initially said to him after he tried hitting on her. Barney then followed up asking what that meant. “I think you were in love and you messed it up,” she replied, adding that she thinks he’s staying busy, flirting with girls to try and ignore that pain.

“Do you want to keep playing or do you want to win?” she asked him. Looks like Barney wanted to win—Robin that is.

So, what will the other cast members be doing during this ongoing drama? Well, Marshall and Lily will be putting Robin and Barney’s wedding vows to shame as the duo attempt to rework their friend’s wedding pledges to one another.
