How I Met Your Mother seaspm 9 spoilers
Will Robin and Barney get married during episode 22, "The End of the Aisle," in "How I Met Your Mother"? How I Met Your Mother

Episode 22 will be the last episode of “How I Met Your Mother” before the beloved sitcom airs its highly anticipated series finale on March 31. So, with that said—you know Carter Bays and Craig Thomas will be bringing out all the stops during Monday night’s episode, “The End of the Aisle.”

According to the official synopsis of episode 22, which will air March 24, “The End of the Aisle” will tell the story of Robin and Barney’s excessive wedding day jitters. And luckily for fans, a leaked sneak peek video shows viewers just how cold the couple’s feet get moments before the two are supposed to read their vows.

“Nothing about me and Barney makes any sense,” Robin says in the teasing trailer with tears streaming down her face.

“But, love doesn’t make sense,” Ted replies. The two then indulged in an emotional heart-to-heart. “You can’t logic your way into or out of it. Love is totally nonsensical. But we have to keep doing it or else we’re lost and love is dead and humanity should just pack it in. Because love is the best thing we do. I know that sounds cheesy but it’s just true.”

Ted lowers himself to look the crying bride in the face.

“You love Barney. And he loves you. And that doesn’t have to make sense—to make sense.”

Do you think Ted’s romantic speech will reassure Robin that Barney is the man for her? We know the blushing bride isn’t the only one having seconds thoughts. In the promo for episode 22, we saw Barney hyperventilating on the couch of the church.

Although promo pictures suggest the Canadian beauty makes it to the end of the aisle, is it possible that Barney and Robin won’t get married? The reason we say this is because Robin exhibited particularly disturbing behavior during the final scene of “Daisy.” While talking with her mother, Robin is asked if she’s found someone she’s able to rely on. Looking out into the distance, Robin says yes. But is she talking about Barney?

For some reason, we think the “yes” was directed at Ted. The protagonist has proved to have her back time and time again. Although Barney has evolved into a caring and sentiment man, Ted has always been the person who’s loved Robin unconditionally.
