‘How I Met Your Mother’ Season 9 Spoilers: Will Barney Have A Ring 'Bear' Or Bearer At His Wedding? Episode 18, ‘Rally,’ Teases Fans With Answer [VIDEO]

“How I Met Your Mother” has fans sitting on the edge of their seats with its series finale quickly approaching. From wondering how Ted will finally meet “The Mother” to questioning which character will get the last line of the nine-season show, our nail beds are practically bitten away from the anticipation. But, out of all the theories we could concoct regarding the season 9 finale of “HIMYM,” there’s one plot point we don’t even know where to begin contemplating: Will Barney have a ring "bear" or bearer at his wedding?

Throughout the final season of “HIMYM” Barney has mispronounced the word “ring bearer” as "ring bear" -- despite Robin’s repeated correction. And because of his refusal to correct himself, Robin has been left to believe that her mischievous fiancé will have a fuzzy carnivore walk down the aisle with their rings.

In the episode “Unpause,” Robin finally got Barney to answer her burning question of whether or not he will have a ring bear or bearer at their wedding. After surpassing Jabba Drunk, which is Barney’s highest known level of intoxication, the blubbering bro began speaking clear and coherent thoughts -- even voluntarily admitting random thoughts that ran through his mind.

That’s when Robin started taking advantage of her fiancé’s truth-slipping syndrome by asking Barney once and for all if he had planned for a grizzly to make its debut at their wedding.

Without explaining specifics, Barney answered Robin’s aching inquiry by confessing Trevor Hudson would be the duo’s adorable ring bearer and that he works alongside Trevor’s mother.

Hmm, talk about skeptical. Perhaps Barney knew we’d be thrown off considering bears don’t typically sport full names. But with episode 18’s promo rehashing the bear vs. bearer debate we have a feeling that Trevor might actually be the furriest ring BEARer in the history of ring doting tots. In fact, many publications have stated their predictions that Trevor is in fact a bear! Hey, we wouldn’t be completely surprised if that was the case. We’d actually be more shocked if Trevor turned out to be a little human boy. Reason being because the promo of "Rally" shows a scene of a guard walking a long chain in the middle of what looks like a cage. Could Trevor be on the end of the metal leash?
