Manuela Seja, the girlfriend of Jacqueline Sanchez — who died Friday in a car crash allegedly caused by her sister Obdulia — spoke out for the first time Tuesday since the deadly incident. Seja, who accompanied Jacqueline and Obdulia when the deadly crash took place, said she met her 14-year old friend just seven months ago.

Seja was in the backseat with Jacqueline in her friend's 2003 Buick, and Obdulia was driving them to their house in Stockton. Seja told local TV station KGO that the 18-year-old, who has been arrested in the death of her sister, traveled for two-and-a-half hour from Stockton to Fresno, California, to pick Seja up and bring her back to the Sanchez house.

“She [Jacqueline] wasn’t like everybody else,” Seja told the station. “She was just funny and she would be funny. She didn’t even need to try.”

Obdulia was arrested Friday after being accused of driving under the influence (DUI) during the deadly crash. She has also been accused of livestreaming the video of the crash on Instagram, which showed her beside Jacqueline. Seja was severely injured in the crash but she survived.

The exact cause of the crash remains unclear, but the California Highway Patrol said the vehicle veered off the road and hit a barbed wire fence before flipping over. The impact affected the two people sitting in the backseat as they were not wearing seat belts.

Seja reportedly tried to flag down passing cars to help but Obdulia allegedly continued filming the aftermath of the horrific crash. “I never thought this would happen,” Seja told KFSN.

Obdulia's relatives confirmed to police she recorded the video showing the crash. Authorities are still investigating whether Obdulia called 911. “Investigators are aware of the possibility of video evidence on social media,” the highway patrol’s report states. “Investigators are looking into the validity of these reports and will provide updates as they become available.”

The graphic video, which was posted on Instagram, was deleted hours after the live stream, but Mary Hernandez of Stockton told Buzzfeed News she recorded the live stream as it could be deleted soon.

"So many people kept saying 'what video I wanna see it,'" she said. She posted the recording on her Facebook page because at first she "couldn't believe it was real."

"At first I was skeptical but the more people reached out to me than her cousin confirmed it was her," she said. "It's just so insane to believe that happened to girls from my city. It is for sure an eye opener, I see people on their phones on social media all the time."

In the video, Obdulia is seen recording herself before the crash, singing along to music and moving the camera. The video also shows Jacqueline and Seja in the backseat. Obdulia can be heard saying in the video, "Jacqueline, please wake up. I f------ killed my sister, OK? I know I’m going to jail for life," according to Fox 40.

She also reportedly said: "I love my sister… this is the last thing I thought was going to happen to us. I killed my sister, but I don't care. I'm sorry baby. I'm a hold it down."

The father of the 18-year-old California girl told told ABC affiliate KFSN, "I don’t know how to feel. My one daughter killed my other daughter."
