Reality show "Jersey Shore," which follows the lives of eight housemates, first aired in 2009, and became MTV's number one series of all times. Since then, the lives of the formerly unknown stars have been changed forever.

By 2010, cast member Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino reportedly made an astounding 10 million, according to the NY Post. He had deals with Vitaminwater, Reebok, and a protein-infused Vodka company called Devotion. Two female cast mates, J Woww, whose real name is Jenni Farley, and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, now have their own spinoff reality show called "Snooki and JWoww," and both have over two million followers on twitter.

Last year, Pauly D signed to rapper 50 Cent's G-Note label, and he also has his own show, called "The Pauly D Project," which focuses on his career as a DJ.

At the moment, it seems that Pauly D, whose real name is Paul DelVecchio, is on his way to becoming the most successful male cast member, as he made the "Forbes Highest-DJ" list last week. He made $11 million over the past year, due not only to his DJ career, but also his television show, and numerous products he promotes, such as a tanning lotion. This should come as no surprise since the "Jersey Shore" cast mate's motto is 'GTL': gym, tan, laundry.

Last year, Pauly D, who has been DJing since he was 16, opened for Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale tour and earns, on average, $40,000 for each show he does, which include private parties, notes Forbes.

"Everybody was skeptical at first, because how everybody heard about me is probably from Jersey Shore," he says. "But now I'm six seasons deep in the show and I've been touring all over the country, touring with major pop acts and stuff like that. That legitimizes everything, and they're starting to say, 'This kid isn't just a reality star, he's an actual DJ.'" Pauly D said in a Forbes interview.

Fame and fortune is not always a blessing, however, as many of the rich and famous begin to notice a change in those around them.

"They say that success changes a person. I say it changes the people around you. They don't know how to act around you," the 32-year-old Rhode Island native told the Daily News.

While Pauly D is currently single, a couple of his "Jersey Shore" cast mates are in long-term relationships. J Woww is going out with Roger Matthews, and they have been dating since they met on the MTV show several seasons ago. Snooki is not only in a relationship, but is also engaged and pregnant. She is going to head down the aisle with Jionni LaValle and they are expecting their first child together.

While having a baby should be a happy affair, Snooki's pregnancy has apparently created tension between her and the male co-stars of "Jersey Shore." When she announced her pregnancy to them on her spinoff show, they joked around and told her she was going to be divorced after a couple of days.

"I was very excited. It was kind of a letdown," Snooki later said on the "Today" show about the reaction of her friends. As a result, Snooki decided not to invite the male co-stars to her baby shower next week, according to the Daily News.
