Next week’s a short week, with markets closed Thursday for Thanksgiving Day.

In the earlier part of the week, investors will hear from several major players, including Hewlett-Packard, Lowe's, Best Buy and John Deere.

Of companies that have reported third-quarter results so far, 71 percent exceeded analysts' profit estimates, while 59 percent missed sales forecasts, according to data compiled by Bloomberg News.

We ran a screen and produced a list of 16 key companies set to report their earnings between Nov. 19 and Nov. 21. We highlighted their expected reporting dates and times, along with analysts' earnings-per-share and Reuters' revenue estimates, as well as the stocks' year-to-date performances.

Monday Before Market Open, or BMO:

Lowe's Companies Inc. (NYSE: LOW) is a home-improvement retailer. The company has a market capitalization of $36.35 billion. It is expected to report FY2012 third-quarter EPS of 35 cents on revenue of $11.91 billion, compared with a profit of 35 cents a share on revenue of $11.85 billion in the year-ago period. Lowe's is trading at around $31.86 a share. So far this year, the stock has appreciated 25.6 percent.

Tyson Foods, Inc. (NYSE: TSN) is a meat protein and food production company. The company has a market capitalization of $6.03 billion. It is expected to report FY2012 fourth-quarter EPS of 44 cents on revenue of $8.49 billion, compared with a profit of 26 cents a share on revenue of $8.4 billion in the year-ago period. Tyson Foods is trading at around $16.66 a share. So far this year, the stock has lost 19.3 percent.

Monday After Market Close, or AMC:

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) is a measurement company providing bioanalytical and electronic measurement solutions to the communications, electronics, life-sciences and chemical-analysis industries. The company has a market cap of $12.44 billion. It is expected to report FY2012 fourth-quarter EPS of 80 cents on revenue of $1.76 billion, compared with a profit of 84 cents a share on revenue of $1.73 billion in the year-ago period. Agilent Technologies is trading at around $35.65 a share. So far this year, the stock has appreciated 2.2 percent.

Brocade Communications Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: BRCD) is a supplier of networking equipment. The company has a market cap of $2.42 billion. It is expected to report FY2012 fourth-quarter EPS of 14 cents on revenue of $566.58 million, compared with a profit of 16 cents a share on revenue of $550.47 million in the year-ago period. Brocade Communications Systems is currently trading at around $5.27 a share. So far this year, the stock has appreciated 1.6 percent.

Nuance Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: NUAN) is a provider of voice and language solutions for businesses and consumers around the world. The company has a market cap of $6.28 billion. It is expected to report FY2012 fourth-quarter EPS of 48 cents on revenue of $496.51 million, compared with a profit of 42 cents a share on revenue of $399.54 million in the year-ago period. Nuance Communications is currently trading at around $20.39 a share. So far this year, the stock has lost 18.9 percent.

Urban Outfitters Inc. (NASDAQ: URBN) is a lifestyle specialty-retail company. The company has a market cap of $5.05 billion. It is expected to report FY2013 third-quarter EPS of 41 cents on revenue of $692.38 million, compared with a profit of 33 cents a share on revenue of $609.95 million in the year-ago period. Urban Outfitters is trading at around $34.66 a share. So far this year, the stock has appreciated 25.9 percent.

Tuesday BMO:

Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE: BBY) is a multinational retailer. The company has a market capitalization of $4.82 billion. In the second quarter of fiscal year 2013, Best Buy reported EPS of 20 cents on revenue of $10.55 billion. Best Buy is trading at around $14.16 per share. So far this year, the stock has lost 38.7 percent.

Campbell Soup Co. (NYSE: CPB) is a manufacturer and marketer of convenience-food products. The company has a market cap of $11.38 billion. It is expected to report FY2013 first-quarter EPS of 85 cents on revenue of $2.37 billion, compared with a profit of 82 cents a share on revenue of $2.16 billion in the year-ago period. Campbell Soup is trading at around $36.32 a share. So far this year, the stock has appreciated 9.2 percent.

Chico's FAS, Inc. (NYSE: CHS) is a specialty retailer. The company has a market cap of $2.96 billion. It is expected to report FY2012 third-quarter EPS of 22 cents on revenue of $633 million, compared with a profit of 18 cents a share on revenue of $538.55 million in the year-ago period. Chico's FAS is trading at around $17.85 a share. So far this year, the stock has appreciated 60.2 percent.

Eaton Vance Corp (NYSE: EV) is engaged in managing investment funds and providing investment management and counseling services to high-net-worth individuals and institutions. The company has a market cap of $3.4 billion. It is expected to report FY2012 fourth-quarter EPS of 48 cents on revenue of $301.88 million, compared with a profit of 40 cents a share on revenue of $294.6 million in the year-ago period. Eaton Vance is trading at around $29.57 a share. So far this year, the stock has appreciated 24.9 percent.

Hewlett-Packard Co. (NYSE: HPQ) is a provider of technology products, software, solutions and services. The company has a market cap of $24.75 billion. It is expected to report FY2012 fourth-quarter EPS of $1.14 on revenue of $30.45 billion, compared with a profit of $1.17 a share on revenue of $32.12 billion in the year-ago period. Hewlett-Packard is trading at around $12.63 a share. So far this year, the stock has lost 51.1 percent.

H.J. Heinz Co. (NYSE: HNZ) is manufactures and markets a range of food products throughout the world. The company has a market cap of $18.49 billion. It is expected to report FY 2013 second-quarter EPS of 88 cents on revenue of $2.85 billion, compared with a profit of 81 cents a share on revenue of $2.83 billion in the year-ago period. H.J. Heinz is trading at around $57.75 a share. So far this year, the stock has gained 6.9 percent.

Hormel Foods Corporation (NYSE: HRL) is primarily engaged in the production of a variety of meat and food products and the marketing of those products. The company has a market cap of $8.05 billion. It is expected to report FY 2012 fourth-quarter EPS of 50 cents on revenue of $2.23 billion, compared with a profit of 43 cents a share on revenue of $2.1 billion in the year-ago period. Hormel Foods is trading at around $30.7 a share. So far this year, the stock has gained 4.8 percent.

Medtronic Inc. (NYSE: MDT) is a medical-technology company. The company has a market cap of $41.87 billion. It is expected to report FY2013 second-quarter EPS of 88 cents on revenue of $4.05 billion, compared with a profit of 84 cents a share on revenue of $4.02 billion in the year-ago period. Medtronic is trading at around $41.02 a share. So far this year, the stock has appreciated 7.3 percent.

Tuesday AMC:

Salesforce.com inc. (NYSE: CRM) is a provider of enterprise cloud-computing and social solutions. The company has a market cap of $19.81 billion. It is expected to report FY 2013 third-quarter EPS of 32 cents on revenue of $776.52 million, compared with a profit of 34 cents a share on revenue of $584.26 million in the year-ago period. Salesforce.com is currently trading at around $142.62 a share. So far this year, the stock has gained 40.5 percent.

Wednesday BMO:

Deere & Co. (NYSE: DE) operates in three business segments: agriculture and turf, construction and forestry, and credit. The company has a market cap of $33.5 billion. It is expected to report FY2012 fourth-quarter EPS of $1.88 on revenue of $8.82 billion, compared with a profit of $1.62 a share on revenue of $7.9 billion in the year-ago period. Deere is currently trading at around $85.6 a share. So far this year, the stock has appreciated 10.6 percent.
