HTC seems to be capitalizing on the delay of the launch of iPhone 5 in the smartphone market pretty well. Some leaked images in Flickr and Yahoo photo sharing website suggest that HTC is working on a new phone Ruby.

The handset appears to be of the same shape as HTC Wildfire with rounded corners. It has a camera with dual-LED flash and a 3.5mm headphone socket near the top.

The images of the phone do not reveal the front of the device so it can’t be said if the phone will be running Android or Windows Phone.

Most of HTCs handsets are run on Android and its Windows Phone 7 range needs to be updated soon for Mango, so the smartphone need to be based on a Qualcomm SoC and have at least a WVGA capacitive touchscreen and 512MB memory.
