When “How to Get Away With Murder” star Viola Davis appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live recently, host Jimmy Kimmel could not resist talking to her about Melania Trump’s interest in the show.

Last year, reporter Katie Rogers revealed to the New York Times that Melania is actually a huge fan of the series created by Shonda Rhimes. “Melania Trump recently told me her favorite show is ‘How to Get Away With Murder,’” said Rogers. “I love that the first lady is a Shondaland fan. She also enjoys ‘Empire.’ And reality TV did not come up once.”

So when Kimmel brought the subject up, Davis had to laugh. “That was the one question I said, ‘Please don’t…just don’t even mention it,” she said.

Kimmel refused to change the topic, because he continued to press Davis. “Would you ever consider a walk-on role for Melania Trump?” he asked.

Davis laughed once again and replied, “Oh my God!” But after a short pause, the actress finally gave her answer. “You know what, yes. Because you know what? I really want to talk to the lady. I really do.”

“I just want the inside scoop,” she jokingly added. “I don’t want to give her any sort of pleasure, I just want the inside scoop.”

Melania’s choice of TV shows is surprising, especially since Rhimes is a huge critic of her husband. Rhimes earlier called Trump a “hypocrite” after he attacked an African-American Army widow and criticized NFL players for protesting the national anthem due to racial injustice, reported The Independent.

As for Davis, she also spoke against the president during last year’s Golden Globes when she took home the award for best actress for her role in “Fences.”

Backstage, Davis talked to reporters about America’s progress and she said that things would be better if Trump didn’t win, according to Vanity Fair.

“I will, believe it or not, remove Trump from the equation. Because I feel that it's bigger than him,” Davis began. “I believe that it is our responsibility to uphold what it is to be an American. And what America is about, and the true meaning of what it means to pursue the American dream. I think that America in and of itself has been an affirmation, but I think that we've fallen short a lot, because there is no way that we can have anyone in office that is not an extension of our own belief system. So then what does that say about us? And I think that, if you answer that question, I think that that says it all.”
