Huawei is rumored to be working on a successor model for Honor 8 smartphone that was launched last year. The early specifications and leaked photos of the Honor 8 smartphone have been revealed by the rumor mill.

According to Gizmo China, the leaked photos suggest that the Huawei Honor 8 will be arriving with an aesthetically pleasing appearance. It is expected to feature 2.5D curved glass on both of its sides along with a a metallic frame. Hence, it is expected to be the most attractive Honor smartphone ever.

The Honor 8 expected to sport a 5.2-inch display. The Honor 7 also features a 5.2-inch screen. Like the recently released Huawei Honor V8 smartphone, its upcoming smaller sibling, Honor 8, is rumored to feature a dual-camera system of 12-megapixel.

The Huawei Honor 8 will be powered by Kirin 950 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. Other speculations indicate that it may be fueled by Kirin 955 chipset.

It also expected to feature a USB Type-C port and IR blaster. It may feature a battery of 3,000 mAh or higher capacity along with support for wireless charging.

The Honor 7 was announced in June 2015. Hence, the Huawei Honor 8 release date is rumored to be scheduled in next month. The Chinese manufacturer is also rumored to be working on a 7-inch Nexus tablet that is expected to release later this year.

The Huawei Honor 7 carries support for full HD resolution and is powered by Kirin 935 chipset that is supported by 3 GB of RAM. It comes in two storage editions of 16 GB and 32 GB.

It is packed with a rear camera of 20-megapixel and a front-facing shooter of 8-megapixel. Both the cameras are equipped with LED flash. It also features a fingerprint scanner. The Honor 7 is equipped with a 3100 mAh battery.
