Huawei will be launching the humongous 5.7-inch display clad Mate S smartphone later today. However, prior to the release, the handset’s live photos have been circulated online. The credible tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer ‏of @onleaks and @stagueve fame has tweeted a total of 12 photos of the Huawei Mate S, showcasing the handset from every angle.

As far as the key Huawei Mate S specifications are concerned, the smartphone will apparently come with a fingerprint sensor and Force Touch display technology, last seen in the Apple Watch. To be specific, the fingerprint scanner is reportedly located below the camera unit. Technically, the Force Touch mechanism will allow the user to press the display harder in order to get additional functionality. It is worth noting that, this Force Touch feature will also be part of the upcoming Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, GSM Arena reported.

Speaking of design, the Huawei Mate S is believed to be housed in a metallic chassis. Furthermore, the handset’s 5.7-inch display will apparently be packed with 1080p screen resolution and thin bezels. Under the hood, the phone will come powered by Huawei's new Kirin 935 chipset and backed by 3 GB of RAM.

When it comes to camera specification, the Huawei Mate S will apparently sport a 20-megapixel rear-facing sensor and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies and live video chats. Going by the leaked image, Phone Arena reported that the device comes with a 2.5D screen panel and offers excellent screen-to-body ratio, guaranteeing an improved viewing experience. The device will be unveiled Wednesday at the IFA 2015 event in Berlin.
