Past rumors indicated that Huawei is planning to launch the much-anticipated P9 in March. However, now, a new report shared via China’s Weibo said that the handset will be introduced sometime Tuesday at a pre-CES 2016 event, scheduled by the company.

As far as the Huawei P9 specifications go, the handset is rumored to come backed by a killer 6 GB of RAM, when other Android OEMs are housing a 4 GB unit. If this RAM configuration comes true, the P9 will be the first handset to sport such a big unit. To top it off, a dual camera setup has also been reported to be part of the main camera unit, Giz China reported.

This device will apparently carry a 5.2-inch display and FHD screen resolution. Under the hood, it is believed to come powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 processor, while the graphics side of things will be taken care by Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. A fingerprint sensor will also be part of the upcoming phone.

Apart from the Huawei P9, Gadgets 360 said that the CES 2016 event will also see Honor X3 phablet packed with a whopping 6.2-inch display. The Huawei Mate 8 flagship is also expected to be unveiled at the event for the global customers. Notably, this device is already being sold in China. This means, the international pricing along with the availability details will be announced at the CES event.

Speaking of price specific to China, the Mate 8 with 32 GB storage and 3 GB RAM sets the buyers back by $460. The model with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB native memory costs nearly $567. The high-end variant with a killer 128 GB storage and 4 GB of RAM comes for about $674.
