Hulk Hogan said Monday he will sue DJ Bubba “The Love Sponge” Clem, charging the radio personality secretly taped Hogan having sex with Heather Clem, the DJ’s ex-wife.

Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, also said he will file a civil lawsuit against Heather Clem, although it’s unclear on what grounds. More details about the suits will be known when Hogan holds a news conference later Monday at the Tampa, Fla., federal courthouse, the Tampa Bay Tribune reported.

The Hulk Hogan sex tape was leaked to gossip website Gawker. Hogan sent a cease-and-desist letter to the site, which published a portion of the sex tape and has yet to take the racy footage down.

Hogan accused Bubba The Love Sponge, his best friend, of secretly taping his sexual encounter with Clem.

The former wrestling star, 59, asked the FBI to investigate the leak, although he did not point the finger at Bubba The Love Sponge as the leaker.

A disgruntled employee of the DJ allegedly leaked the sex tape, which Bubba shared with his former staff before leaving Sirius XM radio, according to Radar Online.

“Even though Bubba knew how much the Hulk sex tape would be worth, he didn't stab his friend in the back and he's not the one who released it," a source told the gossip website. "It's a former employee of Bubba's who was outraged when he left Sirius to go back to terrestrial radio. He wanted payback."

Hogan’s lawyer, David Houston, told the New York Daily News that the ex-wrestling star is hurt over his friend’s alleged betrayal.

“He’s still despondent. He had been assured repeatedly that Bubba had nothing to do with this and knew nothing about it,” Houston said. “I appreciate the idea there are two separate issues here with recording and dissemination, but one does not cure the other. It doesn’t mean it’s okay that Bubba chose to secretly videotape his best friend if he’s not the one marketing it.”

Some observers believe Hogan is waiting for the price of the sex tape to rise in an attempt to cash in on the footage. But Houston said his client has no plans to authorize release.

“Anyone thinking Hulk is hiding in the weeds to pump up the value of this recording is sorely mistaken,” the told the Daily News. “He’s not going to buckle and give in and sign a ridiculous contract to distribute this trash. That’s not going to happen."

Hogan said Bubba encouraged him to have sex with Heather Clem as a way to deal with his marriage to former wife Linda Hogan.
