Internet video firm Hulu is planning to reduce the size of its board in an attempt to streamline decision-making within the venture, the Wall Street Journal said, citing people familiar with the plan.

Walt Disney Co Chief Executive Bob Iger and News Corp Chief Operating Officer Chase Carey may give up their board seats as part of the shake up, the people told the paper.

Hulu's board until recently has included 12 members, according to a list on its website, the paper said.

It is not clear how many people would remain on the board under the plan being discussed, the Journal said.

Hulu declined to comment to the Journal. The company was not immediately available for comment outside regular U.S. business hours.
