Hungary's economic sentiment index fell to a record low of minus 46.2 in April from minus 46.1 in March, results of the latest economic tendency survey by the GKI Economic Research Co. showed Wednesday. The indicator fell for the ninth consecutive month.

The consumer confidence indicator, one of the two sub-indicators of the economic sentiment index stood at minus 72.3, down from minus 70 in March. Meanwhile, the business confidence indicator improved slightly to minus 37 from minus 37.7.
