RTTNews - Thursday, the Hungarian statistical office said the average gross monthly earnings of full-time employees rose 2.5% year-on-year in May, after increasing 3.5% in April. Economists were looking for an increase of 3.4%. Earnings grew 4.3% in the business sector, while it fell 1.8% in the public sector.

During the January-May period, gross earnings increased 1.4%, with a 4.8% rise in the business sector and a 6.4% slump in the public sector.
