RTTNews - Friday, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office announced that the industrial gross output dropped 27.1% year-over-year in April, compared to the 15.6% fall in March. Economists had expected a decline of 21.9%.

After adjusting for working days, industrial output was down 25.3% in April, after declining 19.6% in March.

Month-on-month, industrial production dropped a seasonal and working day adjusted 5.1% in April, in contrast to a 4.5% increase in the preceding month.

For the first four months of the year, industrial production dipped 23.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
