RTTNews - Monday, Hungary's Central Statistical Office announced that the producer price index or PPI rose 6% year-on-year in July, slower than the 6.6% growth in the previous month. Economists had expected an increase of 6.1%. A year earlier, producer prices had grown 3.3%.

On a monthly basis, the PPI decreased 1.5% in July, compared with a 0.1% fall in the previous month.

For the January to July period, producer prices climbed 7% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Export sales prices of industry rose 10.4% year-on-year in July, faster than the 9.8% increase in the previous month. Export sales prices dropped 1.6% compared to the preceding month.
