RTTNews - Tuesday, a report by the Hungarian Central Statistical Office said consumer prices climbed 3.7% year-on-year in June, slowing from a 3.8% rise in the preceding month. Economists expected an increase of 4.1%.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices were up 0.1% in June, slowing from a 1.5% rise in the preceding month.

The seasonally adjusted core inflation was 3.2% in June compared with last year, and stood at 0.4% compared to May.

In the first six months of the year, consumer prices increased 3.3% compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, the harmonized index of consumer prices climbed 3.7% year-on-year in June and was flat compared to May.
