RTTNews - Wednesday, Hungary's Central Statistical Office announced that the producer price index or PPI rose 6.6% year-over-year in June, faster than the 6.2% increase in the previous month. Economists were looking for an increase of 6.8%. A year earlier, producer prices were up 4.3%.

On a monthly basis, the PPI dropped 0.1% in June, after falling 2% in May.

For the January to June period, producer prices increased 7.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, export sales prices climbed 9.8% annually in June and it was down 0.8% compared to the preceding month.
