“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1” is almost here, and a new clip shows “Game of Thrones” actress Natalie Dormer stepping into another science-fiction/fantasy role. With her character Cressida helping Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), she introduces several new characters that make up her television crew. While Cressida is important, her team is also significant in Katniss’ mission to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson). There are a few details “The Hunger Games” fans who have not read the books are missing. Here’s what they need to know:

Pollux (Elden Henson): When Katniss attempts to talk to him in the video clip below, Cressida cuts her off. She informs Katniss that Pollux is an Avox, meaning his tongue was cut off by the Capitol. She doesn’t mention that he wasn’t always a camera man. The Capitol put him to work on the pipes underneath the city, a skill that will prove vital to Katniss’ efforts.

Castor (Wes Chatham): He is Pollux’s brother and a cameraman. After Pollux was mutilated by the Capitol, Castor paid Pollux’s way out of the underground utility tunnels.

Messalla (Evan Ross): Introduced in the clip as Cressida’s assistant, his experience in living in the Capitol will help the team during tense situations. Knowing how the average family lived in the Capitol will prove more helpful than anyone realized.

Much to Katniss’ surprise, the crew members weren’t liberated by anyone. They escaped the Capitol with their own agenda. “This wasn’t any sort of rescue if that’s what you mean,” Cressida says in the video. “We all fled on our own. For this. For you.”
