Tropical storm Danny was officially formed at the East of the Bahamas, the National Hurricane Center announced on Wednesday by 11:00 a.m. EST

The tropical storm Danny reached winds of 45 miles per hour, according to the NHC. Danny could impact the East Coast late Friday into the weekend, according to AccuWeather.com.

Even if the storm does not make landfall along the East Coast, rough surf and dangerous rip currents will again be hazardous at the beaches this weekend, AccuWeather reported.

By the end of the week, Danny is forecasted to become a hurricane (a tropical storm becomes hurricane when its winds hit the 74 mph), the site noted.
