High Frequency Economics - The November CPI jumped 0.8%, above the consensus 0.6%, while the core rose 0.3%, above the consensus, 0.2%. The three-dp core was 0.275%. The headline was boosted by energy prices, with gasoline up 9.3%. Heating oil, gas and electricity also rose. In the core, the damage was done by primary rents and apparel. Rents rose 0.5%, compared to the 0.3% trend. No reason to think this will persist.
