RTTNews - Thursday, the Statistics Iceland announced that the overnight stays of foreigners increased 13% year-over-year in April, compared with a 1% rise seen in the previous month.

However, overnight stays by domestic tourists decreased 24% on an annual basis in April, after rising 4% in March.

In April, overnight stays in hotels totaled 92,100 compared with 91,800 in the previous year.

For the first four months of the year, overnight stays of foreigners increased 5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
