Wednesday, the Statistics Iceland said consumer prices rose 11.9% year-on-year in April, slowing from a 15.2% rise in the previous month. Economists expected the prices to increase 11.2%. The consumer price inflation has slowed for the third consecutive month in April.

Month-on-month, consumer prices were up 0.45% in April, reversing the 0.6% drop in March. Economists expected consumer prices to decline 0.2%.
