  @ibtimes on

Iceland's volcanic eruption that had disrupted the European airspace has stopped spewing out ash, officials said on Wednesday and airlines are back in track after about 1,000 flight cancellations in Northern Europe.

The Grimsvotn volcano eruption on Saturday, had put the aviation safety authorities in disorder as they tried to implement new rules to avoid closure in airspace.

It had caused less damage than an eruption last year at another volcano in Iceland. There are indications that it's ceasing really, said Hrafn Gudmundsson, a meteorologist.
