"If Leonardo DiCaprio doesn’t win an Oscar…" That’s what many people on Twitter have been saying, and the end of that phrase is generally followed by something rather outrageous. Many of them want Leo to win, and the users on Twitter have helped make “If Leo” a trending topic on the mini-blog during the 86th Academy Awards.

DiCaprio has been in numerous well-received films throughout his career. The A-list actor has been nominated for an Oscar four times, and many are hoping that he'll win Sunday night for “The Wolf of Wall Street.” In that film, DiCaprio portrays real-life stock broker Jodran Belfort. Belfort reportedly coached the actor personally on his behavior, especially on how to react when taking quaaludes.

Those who might be disappointed if DiCaprio doesn’t win on Sunday should remember that it took director Martin Scorsese -- one of the actor’s mentors -- even more nominations before he finally won. The director of “The Wolf of Wall Street” was nominated six times for an Academy Award before he eventually won for “The Departed” in 2006.

It’s a possibility DiCaprio won’t take home the win for Best Actor, considering this: After Matthew McConaughey won Best Actor at the Golden Globes, some have predicted he will take the Oscar at the 86th Academy Awards.

Either way, the Internet has already picked its winner, and it’s clearly Leo. Twitterati been sharing memes that anticipate his win, and loss. Check out some of their quips and photos below:
