The International House of Pancakes (IHOP) is giving away free pancakes on Tuesday, February 28, in honor of National Pancake Day.

In return for a short stack of Buttermilk pancakes, IHOP will be encouraging donations for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and other select charities.

The restaurant chain has been celebrating National Pancake Day since 2006 and has so far raised $8 million for charity. Its goal for 2012 is to raise $2.7 million.

There is some dispute as to when exactly National Pancake Day is, but IHOP will be celebrating it on Tuesday.

Customers can get their free flapjacks for 15 hours, between 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012.
